- Wants to be a Chartered Accountant and likes working with numbers: MSBA.
- Is drawn to economics, finance or business at degree level.
- Likes computers and wants them beside commerce: CEBA.
- Plays a sport: Thursday is for DSA, and our students have won at state level.
It is not for a student who
- Wants Science subjects or entrance coaching for NEET and JEE. See Science or Integrated.
- Wants a degree college. We are a pre-university college, Class 11 and 12 only.
- Hopes to avoid Accountancy. All three combinations carry it.

Accountancy and Business Studies are in all three. The choice is about the other two subjects.

Commerce questions parents ask.
Is PU good for commerce students?
Yes. The 2-year PU course gives a commerce student the board exam, a clear subject set (Accountancy, Business Studies and a numbers subject) and time to prepare for CA Foundation or a degree. It is a decision about the combination more than the college type.
What is PUC in commerce?
PUC is the 2-year pre-university course after Class 10 in Karnataka: 1st PUC and 2nd PUC, ending in the II PU board exam of 600 marks. Commerce students choose a combination such as MSBA, SEBA or CEBA.
Which commerce combination should my child choose, MSBA, SEBA or CEBA?
Choose MSBA for CA and Maths, SEBA for Statistics and Economics without Basic Maths, and CEBA for Computer Science and Economics. All three keep Accountancy and Business Studies.
Does Presidency PU College Hebbal teach CA Foundation?
Yes, with MSBA. The college has a Faculty of Commerce and CA Foundation, and has named its CA Foundation qualifiers for May 2025 and May 2026.
What are the commerce fees?

Is this the same as Presidency University?
No. We are a pre-university college in Hebbal. Presidency University is a different institution.
