PCME is Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Electronics: a Science combination for engineering, especially electronics and electrical branches. Presidency PU College, Hebbal has taught it, but admissions will confirm whether PCME runs in 2027-28.

In December 2024 the college described PCME as JEE and KCET focus. Its 2027-28 admissions posts list PCMB and PCMC only, so ask admissions whether PCME runs next year and what entrance preparation goes with it.

Ask admissions whether PCME runs in 2027-28 before you plan around it. If it does not, PCMC is the closest combination.
- A child who wants Biology or NEET.
NEET needs Biology, which PCME does not have. PCMB is the combination for that.

Is PCME offered at Presidency PU College Hebbal in 2027-28?

What is PCME?
PCME is the Science combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Electronics, taught over 1st PUC and 2nd PUC under the Karnataka Department of Pre-University Education. Students also study English and one more language.
What can I do after PCME?
PCME is built for engineering, with Electronics as a head start for electronics and electrical branches. Students write KCET and JEE Main. Degree courses in Physics and Electronics are also open.
Can a PCME student write NEET?
No. The National Testing Agency's NEET UG bulletin asks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology, and PCME has no Biology.
PCME or PCMC: which is better for engineering?
Neither is better for every child. Both keep Physics, Chemistry and Maths, which is what KCET and JEE Main ask for. Choose Computer Science for computing, Electronics for electronics and electrical branches.
